Look What They Made!
One of my favorite parts of this work is seeing how each student’s vision comes to life. These boards represent so much more than what’s on the surface — they reflect clarity, intention, and the spark that started it all. I’m proud to share a few of their beautiful results here!
Room Refresh
Lauren and Dan's Reading Room
Columbus, Ohio – A New Chapter in a Historic Home
After ten years in one place, Lauren was ready for a new chapter—one that began in a beautiful old house full of charm and heart in Columbus, Ohio. Her inspiration board centered on the feeling of a reading room: timeless, inviting, and artistically rich with detail. We focused on textures and tones that honored the era of her historic Columbus home—think warm woods, soft lighting, and a palette you could sink into! She wanted the space to feel both period correct and personally comforting—a place where she and her boyfriend could slow down, settle in, and savor this new season of life.

“I absolutely loved this class! It was the perfect mix of creative inspiration and guidance. Annie was amazing! She was super encouraging, and made the whole process feel fun and approachable. I came in with a bunch of different ideas and left with a board that feels realistic and fits my vision. I'm excited to see it come to life! I also learned so much from Annie about design, and had a great time doing it.”
Branding and Identity
COMMON Dish
Columbus, Ohio – An Eclectic Collection of Ceramics, Jewelry, & Housewares
When Emily came to class, she had plenty of ideas — and even more inspiration. As the founder of COMMON Dish, a small jewelry and ceramics brand, her style was clear in her mind (quirky, unique, a little offbeat) but hard to translate visually. Like many creatives, she felt overwhelmed by where to begin and how to pull everything together into a cohesive look. We worked to sift through her inspiration (over 100 images!) and focused on what truly captured the spirit of her work: playful forms, tactile surfaces, fun color pairings, and a nod to both nature and whimsy. The final palette and visual style are uniquely hers — artistic, inviting, and refreshing. Her brand now reflects the heart and charm of every handcrafted piece she makes.
